Wednesday Hodgepodge
Chris is recovering from a nasty stomach bug that's been making its way around local schools. In fact, several of them have been shut-down for several days.. I've been spraying Lysol around like it's air freshener in an attempt to keep Abby and I healthy and virus-free. That said, I'm happy to be able to take a bit of a break and join everyone for Hodgepodge. All you have to do is answer the questions on your own blog and link up. Join us, won't you?
1. Are there any men or women in blue on your family tree? No, not to my knowledge.
2. Are you someone who suffers from the Sunday night blues? What helps you get over it? I'd say I probably do to a certain extent because I enjoy my weekends so much and I hate to see them come to an end. What helps me get over the Sunday night blues? Dark chocolate and a cup of hot chamomile and honey tea.
3. I read the color blue is an appetite suppressant since there are very few naturally blue foods out there. How do you feel about blue cheese? Love it or blech? If you're a fan, what's something you like made with blue cheese? I like blue cheese, but only as a dressing and no other way.
4. We can't head into the Labor Day weekend without a related question, can we? Complete this thought: I work best when_____________________. I work best when I have a deadline to meet. Nothing like a little pressure to get me moving!
5. 'Everything yields to diligence.'~Antipanes Your thoughts? (on this particular thought or on diligence, in general). I don't think 'everything' yields to diligence, but I do believe that effort and persistence definitely help.
6. The National Park Service turned 100 years old on August 25th. Have you been to many of America's National Parks? If so, share with us a favorite or two. Which National Park would you like to visit before the next birthday rolls around? I've visited several of our National Parks. My favorite would have to be the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. I am a huge lover of mountains and the Great Smokies are breathtaking! In fact, Chris and I would love to retire near them one day. Visiting the Grand Tetons National Park is on my must-do list.
7. Bid farewell to August in seven words or less. You were too HOT for me!
6. Insert your own random thought here. I plan to make time this long Labor Day weekend to edit photos of our family vacation so I can share with you about our adventurous time in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. I am way overdue!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!
