Joining Hodgepodge on another cold, winter day! C'mon, spring...hurry up! If you'd like to participate, simply answer the questions on your own blog and link up. Just click on the button!
1. Create an acrostic using the word LOVE. If you're unsure what an acrostic is, click here.
Lingering embraces,
Open and honest conversation,
Veracious emotion
Ends in happiness and contentment.

2. Does love really conquer all? Why or why not? I would say it does, for the most part. Granted, there are times when all the love in the world won't change a diagnosis, a job loss, the result of a horrific accident, etc. However, having love in your life makes those kinds of things much easier to bear. It says in 1 Corinthians 13:13, 'And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.'
3. Tell us about a time recently where you really put your heart into something. Over the weekend when I tackled the seemingly insurmountable job of organizing our filing cabinet. Chris had saved countless documents on every house we've owned in our 26 years of marriage. I kept some of them, but tossed a lot. I don't want the girls to have that task to face when we're no longer around.
4. What's your favorite fictional love story? In my book, you can't go wrong with the love story between Zack Mayo and Paula Pokrifki from 'An Officer and A Gentleman'. Had me swooning when I was in high school...still does! Best ending ever when he walks into the factory where she's working and sweeps her right off her feet...literally!

5. Do you generally wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your cards close to the vest? I definitely wear my heart splattered all over my sleeve. Anyone who knows me will tell you that. When I'm happy, sad, frustrated, etc, you'll know it.
6. What food says love to you? Why? Pot roast-made the way my mom used to make it. She would have it waiting for me when I'd come home from college for the weekend and it always tasted so good...like HOME.
7. When were you last 'tickled' pink over something? Explain. This past weekend when Chris and I went to Best Buy and he bought me a Cuisinart Pressure Cooker. We made some BBQ ribs in it in only 30 mins. Most amazing thing! I can't wait to try it, again...SOON! Do you own one?
8. Insert your own random thought here. My new favorite show is 'Fit to Fat to Fit' on A&E on Tuesday nights. If you haven't seen it, they take a personal trainer and pair them up with someone who wants to lose a good amount of weight and become fit. The catch...the trainer gains 40-70 lbs. or so in about four months so they can better understand the struggle to lose weight. On last night's episode, the trainer gained 60 lbs. by consuming 10,000 calories a day. It pains me to watch all the food they eat. My favorite part is the end where they show how the trainer and his/her client look after they've lost the weight and exercised regularly. The transformation is amazing!
I have no plans to venture out today...much too cold for me! How's the weather in your corner of the world?
