Goodness, I am so behind on my blogging! I just can't seem to find the time for it these days. I go to the park and walk/run each morning for about 5 miles, then I come home and do my work. Before I know it, the day has slipped right through my fingers. Any of you feel like that?
So, I know that Father's Day was nearly two weeks ago...sad that I'm just now getting around to posting about it. Chris had gone to Hermosilla, Mexico with work and didn't get home until the day before Father's Day. Brittany drove up from Macon on Friday night with Mr. P in tow. I had to laugh because she had upgraded his pen to this...
See the sheet draped over the top of it? Well, Mr. P figured out quickly how to hop out of it, so we discovered that draping a sheet over the top of it made it more difficult for him to 'break free'. Yes, Brittany climbed inside the pen with him...
On Father's Day, we enjoyed a nice, relaxing day together. Chris commented that it was probably the best Father's Day he's had, so far. I think the fact that he had his family together, again, made all the difference in the world...
Brittany left to head back to Macon that evening. Unfortunately, this past Saturday, she made the difficult decision to take Mr. P to a bunny rescue. He had just gotten too much for her to handle and I think her trip here really brought that to light. She loved him dearly! He was chewing her carpet and baseboards and was more expensive to care for than what she realized. She did a lot of research to find the right place to take him and she felt very comfortable in doing so. She knows that he will be well taken care of in his foster home and will be able to check in on his status at anytime. Mr. P will go on to live a full, happy life. Just hard to tell him, 'Goodbye'.
The other day, I reached up on the top shelf to get my box of Cheerios. I saw a note that Chris had left for me and it totally made my day. Remember, it's all about the little things...
Aren't my dahlias just beautiful? They have to be one of my favorite flowers. The colors are so vibrant...
Well, looks like that's a wrap! Have a good one...I hope to not be such a stranger in the near future!
