Weekend Recap
Happy Monday, everyone! I don't know how things were in your part of the world, but our weather here in Georgia this weekend couldn't have been more perfect. The sun was shining, skies were blue, birds were chirping...felt like spring! I was one happy lady!
So, did you do anything exciting this weekend? We went out for our Friday night dinner and one of Abby's friends joined us...the one whose parents are divorcing after 34 years of marriage. She's having a very difficult time dealing with everything, as you can just imagine. After dinner, Chris and I decided to see a movie. Since he chose the last one was saw ('Star Wars'), it was my pick. I thought long and hard about seeing 'The Revenant', but I was in the mood to laugh, so I picked...drumroll, please...'Zootopia'! Yes, you read it correctly. I was pretty embarrassed because when Chris and I entered the movie theater, it was jam-packed with little kids and their parents. I'd venture to say that we were the only adults without any kids in the entire room. That alone made me laugh. Well, you may not believe this, but 'Zootopia' was one of the cutest movies I've seen in a very long time! It was funny and there were some good life lessons in it, too. For me...two thumbs up all the way!
Saturday was spent washing the cars. Abby washed hers and I washed mine; Chris went golfing...of course! It was too nice to sit inside all day. Even Bella had to get in on the action, the little princess that she is...
I snapped this shot of a chickadee on our back deck. Such pretty little birds...
When the hubs got home from the course, I put him to work by having him trim our monkey grass. Everything looks great now and I can start putting out flowers once we know our cold snaps are over...
We had some huge black crows visit our back yard and I was lucky enough to snap this shot before it flew away...
I was on our back deck yesterday and saw this duck wander onto our neighbor's pool deck. You could see the wheels turning...'Hmm, maybe I should jump in a go for a little swim.' He never did probably because his 'lady friend' was stuck on the outside of the fence and was squawking at him. Poor thing...
Unfortunately, Abby lost her phone on Saturday night and hasn't been able to locate it because it was either turned off or ran out of battery life. It was only three months old; we got it for her for Christmas. We're not sure what we'll do, but we're holding out for hope that it turns up somewhere. I'm trying to remember that it's only just an object and it isn't the end of the world. It's frustrating, but you have to keep things in their proper perspective.
Have you ever lost something you couldn't find?
