Snapshots In Time

I'm getting a bit of a late start with my post this week, but as they say...'Better late than never!' Chris got home toward the end of last week. When he walked in the door, he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of red roses. I don't know about you, but flowers are one thing I never grow tired of receiving. It's always so nice to know you're loved and appreciated...

And here's sweet Bella. She had an appointment last week to get groomed and the girl was worn out when she got home. Isn't she just the cutest thing?

I think it was Thursday night when I looked out the back windows and saw the sky lit up with the most vibrant colors. We get some of the prettiest sunsets in the springtime...

Yesterday, I captured this shot of a blue heron walking along the shoreline of the lake behind our house. I could sit and watch them all day long...

We get frequent visits on our back deck by all sorts of birds, such as a cardinal...

Blue jay...

And a napping dove...

This black crow landed on our deck, but flew away before I could snap a shot of him. However, he flew to a nearby tree and I caught this silhouette of him...

We had a cold snap hit us yesterday and there was even frost on the ground this morning. Hoping the warm weather returns for Easter this Sunday, but looks like rain is in the forecast. At least my family will all be together to celebrate that Christ is risen...I can hardly wait!
