I'm going to pass on participating in Hodgepodge today so I can attempt to finish up my posts about our vacation. Hopefully, I can get back to it next week.
So, on Saturday, we all got ready and headed to downtown Bryson City and walked around some of the shops. It's such a quaint little town with some of the nicest people. We, also, stopped by Uncle Bill's Flea Market to see if we could find any bargains. Brittany ended buying three sterling silver rings for around $30...not too shabby. We left there and ate a picnic lunch, then did a little gem mining. Talk about fun! Abby and I found two nice sized emeralds that the gemologist on-site told us could be cut into about 2-3 ct. gemstones. We saw dollar signs in our eyes for a few mins., but then we questioned whether or not he was being completely honest or just trying to sell us his services. Who knows. We still had a good time...
That evening, I popped a pizza in the oven for dinner...
And Abby, also, grilled out some turkey dogs. Nothing like an easy meal with little to no fuss...
We drove over to Cherokee, NC. to see the new Minions movie. It was so cheap...$5 per person! It was kind of neat because there were Cherokee Indians all around. We even saw a sign that read 'Tribal Elders Only'. We laughed throughout the entire movie. The sky was so beautiful that night when we got back to the cabin...
Of course, Brittany and Bella couldn't pass on a little snuggle time before we all headed to bed...
Tomorrow, I'll share about going to Gorges State Park and how Chris scared the ever-loving life out of all of us. Let's just say, we were seconds away from dialing 9-1-1.
