I mentioned last Wednesday that Brittany had an interview that very day. She had applied for a recreational therapist position at a upscale retirement community about twenty miles from our house. We met with her for lunch right after her interview. She was told by the interviewer that she had set the bar very high and even wanted her to stay an extra hour to speak to the HR Director. Brittany was very confident that she had it 'in the bag'. However, as her parents, Chris and I both cautioned her that since they had two more people to interview, it might not pan out. Well, on Friday, she got word that another candidate with geriatric experience had been offered the position; she was crushed. I explained to her that this was God's way of letting her know that this job wasn't meant to be for her, for whatever reason. I went on to tell her that she can rest assured knowing that God already has her future job worked out...all she has to do is continue to TRUST and remain patient. I continued by telling her, 'When one door closes, another one opens.' Something will come along...when the timing is just right.
I looked out our sun room door yesterday and found this dove sitting on the railing. Poor thing...it was so cold and windy outside. My heart always breaks for animals that have to brave the cold elements...
It's been spitting snow for the past several hours. I don't think we'll get any accumulation as the ground is too warm, but it sure is pretty to see...
Any snow where you live?
