So excited to be participating in my first Thankful Thursday hosted by my sweet bloggy friend, Rebecca, over at Knit by God's Hand. What a wonderful time to reflect on some of the things for which I'm very thankful. If you'd like to join in, just create your own list and link up.
My Thankful List:
1. Heat and an electric blanket-The temps. this week have dropped down to the low 20's. I'm finding that the older I get, the colder I become. It's a real blessing to have heat in my home and a cozy electric blanket on the bed to keep me warm at night. Poor Chris can't stand when I put my sub-zero feet on his when we crawl into bed, though he does his best to warm them up. Kudos to him for that!
2. Bigelow's Green Tea-This stuff warms me up from head-to-toe and I bet I have a cup of it about three times a day. With a couple of packs of Stevia, it's 'just right'.
3. Pressure cooker- I mentioned this on my blog yesterday, but I am sold on it! I made Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup in it last night using frozen chicken breasts. It was done in only 11 mins! Most amazing thing I've ever used! It's like a Crock Pot on steroids...and the soup was superb, if I must say so myself!
4. Kathy Lee & Hoda-I watch them every morning when I'm running on the treadmill and they keep me laughing the entire time. They both have such pure hearts and are so kind and giving. I gain a lot of inspiration from watching them.
This world needs more laugher, wouldn't you agree?
5. Abby's growing generosity-Abby has been so sweet this week to offer to treat me to lunch. She picked up something on her way home from classes and it really touched me. Little kind gestures speak volumes. She's continuing to blossom into one beautiful human being.
6. Brittany's daily phone calls and texts-Brittany calls me everyday when she's driving home from work, around 6 PM. She shares with me all about her work day, personal life, etc. She, also, sends me texts throughout the day. I got tickled the other day because she called me from Wal-Mart and asked where she could find toothpicks and plastic wrap. Then, she called back wanting to know what a double boiler is...I had to giggle. I love how she still needs/wants my input and I pray that never changes.
Well, that's a wrap! I'm looking forward to visiting everyone else's blogs to read their thankful lists and I'll definitely participate, again! Taking time to reflect on life's blessings is always a GOOD thing in my book!
