Wednesday Hodgepodge
This is the first Hodgepodge I've participated in for what seems like months! Happy to be back at it! I've missed everyone! If you'd like to join us, just answer the questions on your own blog and link up.
1. Let's all think happy thoughts...share one of yours here. I am so looking forward to having my family together next week for Thanksgiving! Has me grinning from ear-to-ear!
2. There's a Chinese proverb that says, 'If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap; if you want happiness for a day, go fishing.' What say you? If you want happiness for a day_________________.' If you want happiness for a day, find something to laugh about! I'm a big believer in the power of laughter.
3. Where do you go to decompress from the world around you? Either on a drive by myself in the car or on a walk at one of our local parks.
4. What song never fails to make you happy? Definitely 'Walking on Sunshine'! I bet it will be stuck in your head the rest of the day. You're welcome!
5. Wednesday is National Fast Food Day. Should that be a thing? Apparently it is, so, tell us, what's the last 'fast food' you consumed? If you were putting together your own version of a 'happy meal', what would you include? I don't really see the importance of having a National Fast Food Day, particularly since it's so readily available. I don't eat fast food too often, but I did indulge in a Chick Fil-A sandwich the other day and it hit the spot! If I were to have my own version of a 'happy meal', I'd like it to include some roasted almonds as I can never get enough of them and they're heart healthy!
6. In a few sentences, tell us why you blog? I blog to capture lasting memories that I've made with my family. I get my posts published into blog books that I keep in my hope chest for my girls to have one day when I'm gone. Also, I blog because I enjoy meeting and learning about other people. I have met so made wonderful, caring people through blogging and, for that, I'm very grateful.
7. List seven things you're feeling especially grateful for today. 1.) My faith in God. 2.) My family and friends. 3.) My electric blanket. 4.) Good health. 5.) A sharp mind-on most days, anyway. 6.) Cherished memories. 7.) Two loveable dogs, Bella and Maddie.
8. Insert your own random thought here. I have my annual physical this morning at 9:30 AM. One thing I need to mention is that I get foot cramps a lot...about four times a week and as much as 3-4 times a night. Boy, do they hurt! In fact, I had one in each foot before I got up this morning. I've heard that could be sign of low potassium. Interesting. Other than that, no complaints, so, hopefully, I'll get a clean bit of health.
