Wednesday Hodgepodge
It's Wednesday and we all know what that means, right? Time for Hodgepodge! Whoop, whoop! Care to join in on the fun? All you have to do is answer the questions on your own blog and link up.
1. 'ASAP', typically, stands for 'as soon as possible'. What else could it stand for in your life right now? Always Say A Prayer. Taking my worries and concerns to God daily puts me at such peace.
2. Are you the last person to speak up in a group or the first person to have an idea? Why do you suppose that is? Is it a good thing or no? It depends on the size of the group. If it's a group of say under 10 people, then, yes, I wouldn't have a problem being the first person to speak up. Above that number and I feel somewhat uncomfortable. In my H.O.P.E. class at church on Monday evenings, I'm often the one who speaks the most and we have about 8-10 regular attendees. With larger groups, I have a tendency to worry more about how others perceive me than I do with smaller groups. I don't think it's necessarily a good or a bad thing...it's simply how I'm wired.
3. What do you remember best about being 12? I remember being somewhat of a tomboy and hopping on my bike and going exploring in the woods-things I'm sure parents of young girls today wouldn't feel too comfortable allowing. I loved hanging out with friends, having sleepovers, and being footloose and fancy-free. I'm pretty sure that was around the age that I discovered Earth Shoes, Pet Socks and Pet Rocks. Anyone remember those?
4. January 18th is National Winnie the Pooh Day. Which character do you relate to most and why? If you're stumped, go here for inspiration. Definitely Christopher Robin who is young at heart and very adventurous. Like him, I have an active imagination and I have since I was young. Plus, I'm always sitting on ready to GO, GO, GO!
5. What's an app you use that helps simplify or make life easier for you in some way? I have two I like...the 30-Day Arm Challenge and the 30-Day Squat Challenge. They have all sorts of exercises to work your arms and gluts and a calendar for tracking your progress with beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
6. San Francisco (CA), San Diego (CA), San Juan (PR), San Antonio (TX), Sanibel (FL)...you have an all-expenses paid long weekend to one of these destinations. Which one do you choose and why? I have to choose San Juan. We went there on a cruise once and had only a day there, but it was such a pretty, colorful and vibrant place that I'd love to go back and experience more of it.

7. Share with us a song that makes you feel nostalgic. For what? 'Another One Bites the Dust' by Queen. When I was a cheerleader in high school, we performed a dance routine to it during half-time of basketball games. We thought we were hot tamales. We had the strobe lights going and it was quite the moment. Each time I hear that song, it takes me right back.
8. Insert your own random thought here. I have to go in on Friday morning for some bloodwork. Right before Christmas, I had a complete physical and my white blood cell count came back pretty low, so I'm having it repeated. Depending on the results, I may have to seek advise from a hematologist, but I'm praying the numbers have come back up and that won't be necessary. Your prayers are appreciated.
