Summer Vacation 2016-Blue Ridge, GA.-Pt. 3

The next day of our vacation, the girls and I went on a 3 1/2 hour tubing trip in a town about 15 miles outside of Blue Ridge. As we were putting our tubes in the river, I attempted to get in mine and totally missed the mark. I went completely under water, hitting my shoulder on a huge rock. Popped back up to find the girls laughing hysterically at me. I have to admit, it was pretty funny, but I still can't quite figure out how it happened. Looks like I get the 'Klutz of the Year Award'.

Once we got back to the cabin, it felt great to toss on a warm robe...

And enjoy a steaming bowl of the chicken and dumplings Abby made in the CrockPot...DELISH!

As always, the girls were up to their usual antics...

Once we ate, it was lights out for Abby...

We went to the downtown area of Blue Ridge later on and walked in some shops. We bought a bottle of apple-flavored olive oil that's made right there in town. It is so good!

The next day, we decided to do more exploring. Poor Abby had to wear a sundress because her legs got burned on our tubing trip, as you can see...

We walked up on this gathering of butterflies during one of our walks in the woods...

Chris couldn't resist checking out this beautiful waterfall we found nestled deep in the woods...

Everything was so picturesque there...

Our drive back to the cabin never grew boring...

That evening, we had a corn hole tournament. Chris and I owned it...

Bella didn't seem too thrilled with our win; silly girl...

Next, I'll be sharing about our adventure of going white water rafting. Lots of twists and turns...literally!
