Summer Vacation 2016-Blue Ridge, GA.-Pt. 2

You have to admit, this is the kind of view that anyone could enjoy waking up to every day; I certainly did!  Each morning when I'd get out of bed, I'd go on the back deck and stare off into the distance. It's as though we were a stone's throw away from touching Heaven...

The third day we were in Blue Ridge, we decided to go on a 1 1/2 hour horseback riding adventure. We've done so on several of our other vacations and we knew it was something we didn't want to miss.  Here's Chris saddled up for the ride...

The four of us stopped for a photo op, thanks to our wonderful guide. A couple of times, she had our horses go trotting. However, for me, it felt like a full sprint. My head was bobbing up and down like crazy! I was having to hold onto my camera with one hand and to the reigns with the other. There were a few times I thought I was going to fly right off of my horse, but all ended up fine. I got so tickled because Brittany got the slowest horse in the bunch and she was always trailing way behind the rest of us...

I wish I could tell you how much fun we all had, but I think their smiles give you a good idea...

Once our ride came to an end, the rain clouds began to form. We did a little browsing in some antique stores in a small town nearby...

Brittany bought a Mason jar filled with random costume jewelry-style earrings for $5 and, of course, she had to try some of them on...

Once we got back to the cabin, she dumped them all out and sorted through them. Abby and I were in stitches at the sight of some of her 'finds'. They all looked like they were from my teenage years way back in the 70's and 80's...

The sunsets were spectacular and  I never grew tired of seeing the pretty colors evolve before my eyes...

Another fun day in the history books, but more was still to come!
